Christmas games for kids are essential when planning for a Christmas gathering. Christmas creeps up on us quicker and quicker each year, and every year there are kids to keep happy and entertained in new and exciting ways. Help them celebrate the season with these three terrific Christmas games for kids.
Game #1 – Jingle Bells
This game is one of many active Christmas games for kids. Each kid except one will need to be blindfolded. The remaining kid will carry a small bell. The kid with the bell will then move around an enclosed area, jingling the bell saying “Merry Christmas!” while the other players try to catch him. When he is caught, the players swap places. It is as easy as that.
Game #2 – Pass the Parcel
Among the Christmas games for kids aged about 3-8 years is Pass the Parcel. What you need to do is wrap a small gift in many layers of spare gift wrap, cellophane, newspapers or old magazines. Get the kids to sit in a tight circle and have suitable Christmas music playing. Pass the gift to the first kid and get him or her to pass it to the next kid to their left or right as long as the music keeps playing. Every now and then, stop the music. Whoever has the box in their hands gets to strip a layer off. The kid with the very last layer to tear off gets the gift!
